Francis Picabia was all of his lif searching for new aspects in his art. Started in an impessionistic way of painting he changed at the end of 1911 to abstract after a short cubistic period. In 1915 he started with Marcel Duchamp the Dada movement, in 1921 he changed to the surrealistic style. In 1935 he returned to the realistic way of painting.
The painting we are offering is painted at the end of his fauve-impresionistic period inwhich cubistic elements slightly become visible.
